Indirectly, yes. A frozen shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis - the thickening and contracture of the joint capsule) is never the direct result of a traumatic injury. It may develop after the trauma occurs due to non-use and immobilization for an extended period of time. Therefore if you injure your shoulder in the car accident and don't (or can't) move it, frozen shoulder may occur. To prevent this from happening, it is best to keep the shoulder in motion when it has been injured. Physical therapy can help, or surgery may be necessary.

Yes, I had accident 4 years ago. No one believed me when I said I had a lot of pain in my shoulder and upper arm. After four years I went to a sports orthopedist and he found the frozen shoulder caused my the accident. I need surgery. Four years of pain because doctors weren't taking me serious.
because I was seeing the wrong Doctors.

it's called whiplash. this causes misalignment in your cervical spine (neck) which causes the nerves exiting your neck to be pinched. these nerves form a group of nerves (called the brachial plexus) which control everything in your shoulders, arms, and hands. if these nerves are affected then it can cause pain, numbness, tingling, weakness in the areas they control. the reason your shoulder is messed up is because the signals from the nerves that control your shoulder are being inhibited due to the injuries from the accident.
how to fix it?? go to a chiropractor, they specialize in spine related injuries.
