I discovered this show called Monty Python's flying circus in PBS, and I think it's way funnier and has more appropriate humor than Saturday Night Live (no offense to SNL fans). I know it was broadcasted almost 40 years ago, but dont you agree that its funnier than SNL?

i love that show .. i ve been a fan of it for a long time !! and my fave 'pythons' are Michael Palin and Eric Idle
and 'monty python and the holy grail' is SO freakin' hilarious !! and so was the series .. and it is way funnier than SNL ...

YES! I am an old fart and a fan from way back. There are 45 tv episodes, although some are better than others. There are also a couple movies, some records, and even books. I got to meet those guys after their 1976 stage show in NYC. John Cleese was very nice! The rest were OK too, but he stuck around to talk.
SNL was good when it started too, but it's gone on forever! Monty Python is great. ENJOY!

I have the whole BBC series on DVD. It's absolutely more funny than SNL.
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Oh, goodness, I could go on for days. I love it when they're all in drag as old ladies and talking about stuff. Terry Jones does the best woman, but Graham Chapman is so funny when he's being a lady.
However, my favorite will always be Eric Idle. He's just so damn cute. :) If you like the TV show, you should see their movie "Monty Python's Meaning of Life". It's just like the show, except a feature-length movie (and far raunchier than they could get away with on TV).

Been watching it since college. There's nothing like it. Check out the movies, too, especially the Holy Grail.
There's also a show cal;led the Fawlty Towers, with John Cleese, that has the same kind of humor.

monty python is the greatest, you should check out the Holy grail or life of brian movies by the pythons. bring some spare grundies cos ye will piss yerself laughing

Have you seen the "The Lumberjack Song" yet? I laughed so hard it hurt afterwards the first time I saw it. "The Fish slapping song" is another one. You would probably enjoy the movies equally as much as you enjoy the TV show.
