looking at the answers it seems to me that small village life is good, but inner city life in the poor areas are not so good. i'd have to agree with the with the not so good in the inner city we do have good and bad in every community but in a larger area it must be worst because of the larger community so it must have more problem i think i'll pick the answer best suited to an area i live in.

I was born and bread on the back streets of leeds i've watched it change for years in every shape and form and its the community is what helps the area, its the baddies that don't want to help themselves when given the chances over and over again that spoil it for the ones that do. and the rest of the community. and baddies come in all forms, shapes and sizes in the human race.

Slough is bad you seem to get all the weirdo's here ive got proof jayne from big brother 7 is from slough. we have curfiew. we have arsonists, druggies and drunks around all the time you cant walk through the town centre without bumping in to 1. so i think slough is the worst place in england i also think when the ratings of the worst towns in england came out slough was in the top 50

I live in south east london and the comunity consists of chavs, mental disorders and the few good people that are left. Because of the goverment a mental hospital about a mile away was shut down as they felt that the mental disorders should be free to live a life in the society...didims.Theres a nuter called huba buba that chases people from my school when they come out at 2:30 with a baseball bat but that is his human right acording to the goverment.

WE live in a village in Oxfordshire. We have a village school, 140 kids. Pre-school, shop, post office and hair dressers. We have a village hall and lots of different clubs to be part of. The community spirit is great. Someitmes, it can seem a bit like chinese whispers, but in times of trouble, everyone rallies round and cares and really helps.
GREAT!

For the most part it is outstanding. Unfortunately, the public school district includes the subsidized housing kids which are lowering the overall standard significantly.
Why can't we have a seperate school system, as they do in other countries, for kids who are achedemically challenged? They could study a trade instead, such as construction, sports, art, truck driving, etc. This is the type of job they are going to get anyway so why not accept it and train them to do it as best we can?
Meanwhile, allow the kids who are pushing themselves achemically to get the help they need to prepare for college.

I live in sonoma county and while they say yogurt has more culture, i really like the area. It has a big city feel in some cities like santa rosa but if you drive 20 minutes in almost any direction from there you can feel like you are in the boondocks! I like that feeling. Plus it allows for a blending of people from all walks and ways of life :)

There's good & bad in all communities. To say it's good OR bad wouldn't be fair, as it's a bit of both. The only community that IS good all the time (except for poor grammar!) is the Yahoo community (all fab!).

It is pathetic like most.. Neighbors do not like each other for no reason and try to be civil but it is difficult to do so when they do not like you and have no reason why. I do know that if my neighbor and my dog were both drowning.. I would place a priority on saving the dog first
