It said something about wish you were here,wish you could see this place. It was like someone was reading a letter from someone that was dead. I would like to find out who is singing it and the name of it. Please help me.

That would be Wish You Were Here by Mark Wills.Excellent song.I know its on his greatest hits album but i think there was an album called"Wish You Were Here" also

I haven't heard that one just Letters from Home about the war but it doesn't deal with the content that you are talking about.
