unfortuantely, i dont think either the mets or cards will win(or lose) tonite. seems all to likely that mother nature will prevail and postpone game 5 until tuesday. here is the st. louis forecast from weather .com:

Today: Windy with periods of rain. High 54F. Winds SE at 20 to 30 mph. Rainfall possibly over one inch. Locally heavier rainfall possible.

Tonight: A steady rain this evening. Showers continuing overnight. Low 49F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall possibly over one inch. Locally heavier rainfall possible.

Tomorrow: Cloudy skies early will become partly cloudy later in the day. High 71F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

I'm rooting for The Cardinals all the way.

And NOT because I think they will be easier to beat than the NY Muts(they wont)----but because St Louis is a TRUE baseball town. And it would be an instant classic for The Tigers/Cardinals in the World Series.

At the same time, I do look forward to Detroit being the ONLY team to beat BOTH Ny teams in the same baseball playoff season.

Postponed till Tues. 8:19 ET due to rain.
I'd love for the Cards to win but with Glavine pitching this one, I'm not entirely sure it will happen.
GO CARDS ! ! ! !

cards will win tonight...glavine has been very good this post season but he hasn't been good all year on 3 days rest...weaver was very good the first game but made one mistake and got hammered for it...and pujols is due for a big game i just see it swinging to the cards tonight and tomorrow night when carp pitches...

Mets, but I saw the weather report and it is expecting heavy rains so there might not even be a game tonight.
