I am starting my own football team next season, but a team who are really struggling at the moment have asked me to manage them. I wold want to bring my own players so is it fair to take this job knowing I will leave in May with possibly half the team? The upside for the team is they will have a long time to arrange a new manager and players and will not be relegated with a possible cup run (sounds big headed but I have managed to reach 4 cup finals in past 3 seasons and 1 league win with 2 runners up)

This is Sunday league football. (Social - players pay to play)

You should definitely make your intentions clear before you take the job and inform them that you feel some of their current players may well consider leaving with you at the end of the season.

Odds are these players are going to join you next season if you are their manager this year or not so if you are the person they think is best for the job then they thinking about it rationally they shouldn't object to you managing them this season.

It's difficult. but just make the situation clear from the start so everyone involved knows the score ( no pun intended).
