Dan Brown (born June 22, 1964) is an American author of thriller fiction, best known for writing the controversial 2003 bestselling novel, The Da Vinci Code.

Geoffrey Archer is a fiction writer from London, UK. He specialises in military adventures and spy thrillers.

After several false starts in his choice of career, Geoffrey Archer moved into journalism, ending up with ITN in 1969. He covered the "troubles" in Northern Ireland in the 1970s, the civil war in Beirut in 1976, and was allowed to travel with a Polaris nuclear submarine. These experiences with ITN prompted him to begin writing stories with military and spy themes. In 1995 he left ITN to concentrate on writing on a full-time basis.

I read an article that stated that Dan Brown, admired the works of Jeffery Archer. I don't think they are the same person. I can't say for sure. I hope that helps, maybe?

No they are not. Archer started many years before Brown. I have seen him at an author's round-table dinner and he is quite different than Brown. The writing styles differ noticeably also,

I don't know... what i do know is that dan browne is a talentless hack... and I will not waste another second of my life reading his anti-climactic slop!
