Hmmm..politics? I didnt get much political out of it. In fact, the desire to evolve seemed to negate politics in this epic. When ape, and then man was stimulated by the unknown, he/it managed to change his way of thinking and evolve to the next stage. That was the message I got. I think politics were made moot.

That giving Stanley Kubrick a job was all politics. What a horrid movie. How the Sci-Fi genre survived it is a miracle.
