the child she has adopted was not an orphan.he has a father .how much did she pay for this child?she is adopting this child for what reason?why did she pick this child out of hundreds?is it because he fitted her image.how long is it before peados can go out to africa to buy a child? am i wrong on this because i am not comfortable about it.i feel it is tantamount to the days of slavery.

i am agreeing with all of you.is it immorral?should she be allowed to do it?even the people in Africa are up in arms over it.They are trying to put a stop to it.

i do agree with you..it would have been better to donate money to further the lives of all the children..i think she has done this to stabilise her marriage..which is reputedly rocky.

Very little of what madonna has done would I consider to be wise, starting with her sex book - her mockery of Christ, once in earlier video, and now in her crucifixion scene from her tour. She has talent, but has chosen to go to inappropriate extremes and offend many people including Christians and Jews (after her "voyage" into Kaballa). Her "adopting" of this child, seems to be more of a publicity stunt. Trying to take back the limelight from Angelina Jolie? She will no doubt find some other act to keep up the publicity as her career ebbs.
I think previous responders are right, it's like a cute new pet to show off, for a while, until something new comes along.

I could be wrong, but I think that a lot of celebrities see children as fashion accessories. Like designer bags, almost. They seem to be trying to start of collection of children. It's sad. I think they adopt children for publicity, not because they actually want to give a child from a poor country a better life.

Along with what everybody else has said, I also feel that she is copying other celebs by doing this. It seems to be the thing to do now in Hollywood. Since this child had a father, why not just give money and support to help them out??

No it is ignorant, to buy a child, also a bit racist I feel. Like she is buying a person.
Imagine if michael jackson had tried to buy a little boy!
But for the wee boy, it is wonderful. And Madonna's an amazing woman so let us forgive her .
Perhaps she has gynaecological "issues" and she can not concieve herself- what a pity if this were true, with an amazing body like that.

Madonna thinks she is some kind of Goddess. The child thing was just to preserve this image. The child needs to be with his own people, not some trashy celeb.

I don't think it's a wise move.. not sure how true it is but all the papers said she bent the rules to get adoption papers etc. This event will haunt her for awhile...
I hope this is not a publicity stunt!

i agree with you but i would rather adopt a foreign child with good genes than a junkie or thickos kid's from here who has possibly been abused first.
