About as much as I would have been in favour of the KGB torturing prisoners. In other words, no.
1. It's just plain wrong.
2. It's illegal.
3. It's against international law.
4. Once you permit torturing of prisoners in a special kind of situation, there is no stopping it ' torture will be justified everywhere, and international law will have no more meaning.
5. It gives an extemely bad international image to the country that practices it. Then one day they ask: Why does everybody hate our country?

the 1st 2 questions are like asking no count if it could be ok for the CIA (or absolutely everyone else) to rape or sodomize prisoners? of direction not! If it become incorrect for the Spanish inquisition and the Salem witch trials to apply torture, how can it top for the CIA or MI6? As for no count if it actual got here approximately, i'm afraid it quite is becoming to be a becoming form of clean that something of the type probable has, and may even nevertheless be occurring in some places as I pen this. There are in simple terms too many accusations obtainable and too plenty circumstantial information (of which the maximum recent revelation--the planned destruction of those CIA tapes--is in basic terms one greater nail interior the coffin to the concept that what got here approximately at Abu Ghraib become an remoted one-off experience perpetrated by utilising a handful of rogue gamers).

Those who encourage torture are thinking on the same level as any torturer anytime anywhere. George Washington made the call during the Revolution, no torture for any purpose ever. We have fought many wars on many fronts over the past two and a third centuries without having to lower our standards. You people who want torture are as much a terrorist as any other human who prescribes to such thinking. Torture is as un-American as fascism. Because you believe in the bush doctrine of bad thinking doesn’t make it right, the data collected under duress has never been of value or even allowed as evidence in any court.

Torture is always wrong! So is brainwashing! Which involves using electricity and painkiller at the same time. The victum feels the shock but not the pain. Hopefully, Mr. Rummy and Georgie the Retard have stopped teaching this stuff. If they don't repent before God for their human rights violations they will go to hell. They need to discontinue CIA brainwashing training programs immediately.

If it saves lives and ends this terorist crap then yes.
But hey I guess it is ok to put on the net the murdering of american prisoners who have no way of defending themselves.

Torture is only supposed to go till the person breaks down and gives the info needed.

Hey there are drugs to assist that so it will probably be humane torture.

Lot better than the American prisoners got by the terrorists.

Torture (and all cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment) is not only illegal, it is always wrong.

Those who ordered it should stand trial for crimes against humanity.

I'm tempted to exempt from the prohibition against torture all responsible for it, but, I suppose even that is wrong.
