Lee Ryan (born June 17, 1983 in Chatham, Kent) is a former member of the British boy band Blue and is now pursuing a solo career.

Biography
Ryan attended a performing arts school prior to joining Blue. He left the band in 2005 to become a solo artist after a commercially successful career with the band. To date, he has released 3 UK singles: "Army of Lovers", "Turn Your Car Around" and "When I Think of You". He has also released a UK album called Lee Ryan, of which most of the tracks are self-penned. Ryan sung "Come Together Now" along with various other artists in aid of Hurricane Katrina victims.

Ryan completed a film directing course at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York, and has his own production company. He co-directed the video to his self-penned hit "Breathe Easy" with video director Cameron Casey. He has a small part in the UK version of Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, in which he plays Elk's dad. His song "Real Love" features in the end credits of the film. He finished directing his first video called "How Do I", which will be exclusively watched on his website.

February 14, 2005 saw Ryan perform his first UK solo gig at Shepherd's Bush to a small intimate audience of just under 2000. He headlined the Abbey Aid concert on Saturday 27 May at Cambridge United's Abbey Stadium. Actually, he's doing his first solo-Tour in UK & many other countries of Europe or Asia. Also, he's working with film projects, writing new songs for his second album.

Now, Lee Ryan is the Dolce & Gabbana UK image for the forthcoming new collection. Also, he has a great friendship with the ex-former of Blue, with his friend Sir Elton John, met when Lee was in Blue, the pop-dance singer Dannii Minogue and the successful British pop star Sophie Ellis Bextor.

Currently, Lee has said his second album will be published at the beginning of the year 2007, and maybe Elton John will appear in the new album.

Lee Ryan has officially said that he left SonyBMG due the Record Company didn't let him do what he wanted to do. So, Lee decided to left SonyBMG, and now he has no record deal. Actually, Lee has recorded some new tracks for his forthcoming new album, but, due this information, the album won't be released along SonyBMG. He said his come back to the music scene will be so soon, because maybe he will go back with EMI to release his real music, and be promoted to all the world. Due his leaving of the record company, Lee has cancelled a lot of concerts and gigs all around the world, like in the UK, Germany, France or China.

After his leaving of SonyBMG UK, Lee signed to EMI again, getting back to his past label where he released music along Blue. In late 2007, Lee is going to release his second-solo album, previously, featuring Elton John in his first single.
