This is for anyone that has been induced because of gestional diabetes. How many pounds was the baby when they decided to induce?

I had a c-section b/c induction was out of the question for me ( I have a past c-section). I had my c-section at 38 weeks due to my gestational diabetes. I had been on medication for it the last month of my pregnancy and to be on the safe side they wanted to take her early. She was a very healthy 7 lbs even and 21" long, quite a relief! No worries! Just take care of yourself and follow all the Dr's recommendations and everything will be fine.

I had gestational diabetes with my second child. I was never induced, but he came two weeks early. He was a pretty large baby weighing in at 10 pounds 22 inches long. I guess that is typical of babies born from mothers with this problem.

MY grandson was 8 pounds at 38 weeks. My brother was 8#2oz at 38.
