I would like to grow my own healing plants. I have an aloe plant and like to expand and heal my own family with their scrapes, cuts, warts on daughter's foot, and other minor ouchies.

If you mean the one that they make the oil from it is from the Leptospermun family. They don't like frosts and like sun, I'm not sure which varieties they make the oil from. They grown into a shrub or small tree.

I'm in Australia and they grow naturally here in the bush and gardens but people don't seem to use bits straight of the bush, like you can with aloe. It may be that you need to distill the oil to use it like they do with eucalyptus. It may not be worth growing for your purposes.

I wish I could be more helpful, but perhaps this will get you started.
