By that time of year it is pretty chilly but the mountains are really pretty so you could go hiking in them. Temple Square is absolutely stunning at night and a must see in my opinion. They have some nice bars (such as the Red Door) and some good places to eat (Metropolitian comes to mind as a place downtown). The Pioneer Theatre Company is putting on Pride and prejudice which you may like (see the website below). If you want to go to an art museum, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts has an exihibt on the Jacobson Scrolls. The downtown alliance (see link below) usually lists fun things to do and also is good for finding nightlife and places to eat. I hope you and your wife enjoy your visit.

Rent a car and drive to Park City, which is a very well-to-do skiing area. If you're not going to ski, no problem, there's a lot to see, and the drive through the mountains is unparalleled. Check out the Great Salt Lake, and drive North into Wyoming. It is gorgeous! Downtown in Salt Lake City, be sure to check out Temple Square and just do a walking tour of this beautiful city. The Red Rock Brewery is a great place for brews and good food. Check out Lamb's for breakfast, the best breakfast in town!

Depends on couple things: What you like to do, how the weather will be, where in SLC you'll be.
Unfortunately, SLC's nightlife isn't the best. Something to check out for sure is the Gateway Mall downtown. Park City is great too, it's about 20 min. from SLC. There are some great places to eat, and some good bar/lounges, and beautiful scenery. The museum of fine arts at the University of Utah (also downtown) is really cool. If it's a nice day, just take a walk around downtown and if there's some snow, try getting up the mountain for some skiing. Hope this helps a little!

Very, very conservative place, yet like somebody else pronounced, it quite is getting greater desirable. I had a midsection college instructor that had in simple terms moved from Salt Lake and is Mormon to rural Ohio. She become very accepting of my transgender status and bisexuality, so there are some. do no longer assume lots reliable however, and definately prepare for lots worse. Oh, and undergo in ideas the rule of thumb right here interior the U.S.: larger city=greater tolerant.
