I have been racking my brain trying to think of something to get him for christmas. and since he's in the army i didn't see that things like cd's,dvds, ect would be that good of a present. I've decided to take photos from around the city we're from and other landscapes from the area and makea photo album for him.
is this a good idea and would a guy like it?

SIMPLY AWESOME IDEA!!.........as well as pics of you........in front of some of those places.........would make the distance away.......seem not so great.

Sounds like a great idea, make sure you get pictures of things that he likes and you could stick little notes in with the photos. Like a picture of his favorite pizza place and a little note can't wait to have a slice with you!

I think it sounds like a great idea. If its where he is from, he would really cherish it. His old house, school, hang outs, friends and their houses, you and his other family and friends.
If its not where he is from, make sure to take pictures of things important to the two of you-places you walked together, restauraunts, movie theatre, your church etc..
Its very thoughtful. Throw a lock of your hair in there along with a special note.
Something beautiful he can keep with him to remind of what he has waiting.

What a wonderful idea. If I was him, I would love it more than a new decent cd player.
I wish I could have a girlfriend who would do that to me.

I think it's very sweet.. You can also add on the album a collage of different things he likes like his fav sports team, fav band, fav food etc...
