You definately need to call your doctor, or the hospital you are registered at.

This happened to me when I was 31 weeks. I had been having cramps a couple of times a day for a couple of weeks, and on New Years eve I woke up with them and they did not go away. Definately felt like bad menstral cramps. And they seems to ease and come back. I was concerned and started timing them and realized they were every three minutes. I called the hospital and went in and sure enough I was in labor. Get off the computer and call them now. They will definately want to check you out.

It's better to go in and find out it is nothing, than to think it is nothing and it be something!

In the days or weeks before labor, Braxton Hicks contractions may intermittently become rhythmic, relatively close together, and even painful, at times fooling you into thinking you're in labor. But unlike true labor, during this so-called "false labor" the contractions don't grow consistently longer, stronger, and closer together.
If you're within a few weeks of your due date, try these measures:
• Change your activity or position. Sometimes walking provides relief, and other times resting eases your contractions. (Real labor contractions, on the other hand, will persist and progress regardless of what you do.)

• Take a warm bath to help your body relax.

• Try drinking a couple glasses of water, since these contractions can sometimes be brought on by dehydration.

• Try relaxation exercises or slow, deep breathing. This won't stop the Braxton Hicks contractions, but it may help you cope with the discomfort. (Use this opportunity to practice some of the pain-management strategies you learned in your childbirth preparation class.)

The muscles in your stomach are stretching and every move you make will make your stomach hurt. The doctor says to take warm baths and use a heating pad. You can also purchase a belly belt that will help support your stomach and may relieve some of the pain. The other thing you can do is take 2 tylenol extra strength to relieve some of the pain. Good luck and I hope you are feeling better.

Go to the hospital and get checked out. You could be in preterm labor. I was at 31 weeks. Feels like really bad lower abdominal pain. Go now. It won't hurt anything.

You could be having braxton hicks I think that is right which would be false labor. However the only way to determine that could be to go to the ER or gynecologist to be sure you are not going into premature labor. If you are they have medicine to stop it so it would be best to check with a doctor ASAP! Good Luck

What you describe sounds like possible preterm labor. You need to go to the doctor today if possible and otherwise to the hospital. If it is preterm labor, there are things they can do to help stop the labor and help you get closer to your due date. If it is not preterm labor, they can assess you for potential other complications.

Those are contractions! Contact your doctor asap! Lay on your left side and drink something cold. Start timing them also.

I suggest you contact your doctor. This can be normal. But if you ever think that there could be a problem then you need to make a move.
