Stretch marks recede but never go away. The creams don't work. There are some plastic surgeons that after radical weight loss have some ways of reducing them...but an extremely expensive and comlicated solution.
If you are interested in plastic surgery route Google "bariatric surgery" and "cosmetic surgery". These are surgeries for people who have lost hundreds of pounds and they get rid of excess stretched out skin.
My best advice would be to give her lots of love and even if the stretch marks bug you and you wish her skin was smooth you probably don't wish it anywhere close to as much as she does. It sounds like you are sensitive to that..from the way you worded your question. Just make sure she feels loved just the way she is..even if she wants to try to fix it.

The best medicine for stretch marks is and always will be Vitamin E or tissue oil. Any cream with aloe in it is also very good for the skin and will repair most skin problems. Perhaps she could tone her muscles to fill out a bit if she or you wouldn't mind a more athletic looking her. The aloe will repair the elasticity though which was affected by the sudden weight loss.

Im not sure. I currently use Palmer's Cocoa Butter stretch mark lotion in the mornings and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Tummy Butter at night. It says it helps reduce stretch marks before and after pregnancy. You might want to try it out, to see if it works. I really enjoy them. Dr's recomend it, and a lot of woman use it. Hope it helps out.

Massaging them lightly and moisturizing them daily helps. I am not too sure who to quote here, nonetheless it has worked for my daughter's boyfriend who lost a massive amount of weight and a large muscle gain. The dark ones go away first usually, any whitening of the skin may take a little longer. The boyfriend, Steven, used "Udderly Smooth" cream which is located at any pharmacy store. I also used it on my feet and LOVED it. give it a try.

Unfortunately once skin has stretched enough to leave stretch marks be it weight loss or pregnancy whever, it is impossible to get rid of them. You can however look into plastic surgery or laser treatment to make them a little more inconspicuous.

Congratulations on the weight loss! I appreciate your wife's dedication to dropping the excess pounds.
The only thing she can do now is see a cosmetic surgeon.
Please see the show on E! Dr. 90210. There is also a DVD series available called Rey's Anatomy.
Dr. Rey also offers consultations via his website.
Good luck!

She can laser them if they are not really bad...otherwise surgery is the only way to get rid of them and the extra skin.

Vitamin E oil, the higher the I.U. count, the better. Hope that you won't have to a tummy tuck. Peace

Unfortnaly (sp?) there is no cure you can rub creams on them but they will only lightly fade but you can't get rid of them. I am pretty sure you can get them lazered off but thats about it.. And believe me I have tried to get mine off.... But I am stuck with my road map
