I take Advil for the cramps. It helps relieve them a little. Do any of you know a good at-home remedy besides Advil?

Ibuprofen is the best. Works real well on inflamation. Just be sure and take it about 2 days before your period. Works much better than taking it the day you start hurting. (you could probably continue to take Advil. just take it 2 days before and see how it does) m

I use Aleve and tylenol. It is stronger than advil. Take 2 the first time and 1 every 6 hours and you can take 2 tylenol between those dosages. Also I drink hot tea that helps some. I was the same way for many years. The only thing that helped to calm them down so I could work and cope is birth contol. I can't have anymore kids but my doctor put me on it for my period and bleeding. Talk to your doctor about that.

I heard moderate exercise can relieve some cramps or yoga postures. If, you cut down consuming caffeine (soda, chocolate anything with excess sugar and salt). A friend told me drinking water might make the body more relax. If, your cramps are so severe that you can't stand up straight exercise will not help take advil.
