Well, I never play World of Warcraft but there are more important things that you could do besides playing the game. I have the same problem when I was playing Final Fantasy X and other RPG games.

So, I just made a schedule of what time and days I want to do on my daily life (examples hobbies, playing video games, etc.) Instead of playing my video games the whole day, I would just play them for one or two hours and then I do something else.

Just tell yourself that the game is always going to be there when you return to play.

turn the copmuter off and go read a book, play sports, watch TV. Search the net for some news. There are plenty of things to do. A friend of mine is 7 months pregnant and her husband doesn't pay any attention to her, because he is playing warcraft, do you want to end up like that. She works, does everything around the house and he just plays, day or night, the only time he has a break is when he smokes or goes to the bathroom.

Does anyone have an addicting problem for online gaming? To get out of being addicted, try playing some other games such as clubpenguin, runescape, battleon (adventure quest), and maybe even dragon fable. I had a friend who was addicted to a game called "Monster of Relief," but she got unaddicted by playing other games. If you downloaded the game, it's better just to uninstall it and block the website. Enjoy!

Realize its just a game. I play WoW but I dont feel a need to play it because I realize there are other things for me to do. Its my premium choice of entertainment in my spare time but I dont let it distract me from other things. As far as the other people saying "oh my friends husband doesnt pay any attention to her because of this game" its not the game, its the idiot in the chair. Also the fact that she said he smokes shows he is sensitive to addiction already. If it werent WoW it would be fantasy football or something else. Just realize its only a game and that it doesnt reflect upon real life.

I just know when to turn off the computer, plain and simple. I can easily realize that some things are more important. The game will always be there, just as I left it, my friends and family are another story...

If you really have a problem, cancel the subscription, get help. I'm sure you aren't THAT addicted to it.

It will solve itself... Yeah. See you'll get so addicted that you will not make money and cannot afford the subscription and it will be canceled. Along with internet, electric, ect. But in all honesty. Its self control. Tell yourself when to quit. If it doesn't interfere with stuff its fine. If you give up ANYTHING important or healthy for it, its time to take a break.
