Personally, I voted against Gore then and I'd do it again. I am curious though for responses from both liberals and conservatives.

PLEASE, stick to the question- No belly-aching about how Bush "stole" the election

We would be less dependent on foreign oil, we'd be in compliance with the Kyoto agreement, we'd have made real progress in environmentally good energy.

Gore probably would have gone after those responsible for 9/11, rather than someone who had nothing to do with it.

We wouldn't have violated international law by going to war or by committing torture.

People who own everything would pay taxes.

We'd be researching how to use stem cells to improve the quality of life for millions of people.

The government wouldn't be spying on citizens.

Senior citizens would be able to get meds cheaply both to them and to the government, rather than owners of medical plans getting obscene profits from the system we now have.

The air would be cleaner.

Billions of people who currently hate us wouldn't.

We'd have someone representing the country who can speak English.

We'd have a president who upholds the Constitution.

FEMA would work; the people in New Orleans who died wouldn't have, and New Orleans would have been rebuilt by now.

Two people who believe in the Constitution and in liberty would have been appointed to the Supreme Court.

We'd be represented in the United Nations by someone who didn't think the U.S. has the right to commit mass murder and theft, just because we're strong enough to get away with it.

Our Attorney General would NOT be someone who advocates breaking the law.

Our military would be led by someone who was willing to listen to reason.

Our educational system would not have, as its sole purpose, training students to pass machine-gradable tests. And our educational system would have been recieving needed funding.

These are just off the top of my head, I know I've left many things out.

We would be cowering in our bomb shelters. Gore, like Clinton, would have aimed a "$2 million bomb at a $10 tent" and called that "getting justice".

Clinton had 2 chances to get bin laden and scuttled like a cockroach away from doing anything that might hurt him in the eyes of the French.

Where do you get off saying Bush would rather play golf than find bin laden? Clinton should have played golf instead of cigar games with his little sweetie.

Gore just wanted the vestiges of being President. He had no skills, no inherent abilities, just an over powering urge to be president. He would have called Chirac to see what he should do and would have bowed to the UN and let that inept body determine our foreign policy.

I agree with Bush's statement "The UN will not decide how America will defend ourselves". Gore would have pleaded with them to make a decision for him and therefore, for all of us. What a wimp !

My Internet would run as fast as Road Runner said it would - wait that required truth - maybe not! LOL
Of course without electricity from attacks by countries who had no fear of Gore "Plastic Man" I do not guess my Internet would run. I look good in black but hate veils over my face. I do not think I would be happy.

I'm left, but I'm not one for Gore or his wife. I'm sure we'd be told what to watch, listen, and do. The Dems censorship everything, and the Rep want to control everything. That's why I vote for who ever is best in any election.

Well for one, the EPA wouldn't be run by former oil/ power plant executives, We'd be in line with the rest of the world in supporting greenhouse gas emmission reduction and and the road to developing better technology to do so. We would not havee started the war in Iraq - who knows we might have even caught bin Laden because all our military wouldn't be tied up in Iraq.

I could go on and on but those are the two that come to mind first...

Gore would have continued Clinton's work on trying to find and eliminate Osama unlike Bush who was more concerned with playing golf and vacationing. and had he succeeded in finding him several things would be different:

1. 9/11 wouldn't have happened
2. Afghanistan would still be in Taliban hands with no opium production
3. 650,000 civilians would not have been slaughtered in Iraq.

The world would be at peace and we'd all be joined hand in hand singing together as One World..OK Maybe not, but at least we'd have a President who was smarter than a Chihuahua.
