I plan on taking a trip to Washington State, and I am a little timid.

I wouldn't say afraid, but I do get a bit anxious. I can never fully relax on a plane.

I will fly only if I have a very short travel window (like I'm going to be somewhere only for a day or two) or it's far faster to get there by plane. I'll drive to TN, which is 9 hours, versus fly there but that's because the getting to and from the airports and in-air time would be like 6 hours. An extra three hours is worth it to me to avoid flying and have my own car and make sure my clothes are with me during my stay.

I used to love to fly on airplanes until the whole "911" thing...that is the only thing that gives me any hesitation about it now, but you have to try and not worry...take some things to keep yourself busy or run yourself ragged so you will sleep the entire flight...they also have some motion sickness pills that you can take and I hear they help alot but I do not like to take medicine unless there is a true medical need for it...soothing music always helps me too...have a great trip

Not to make you feel worse, but I look at it like this, they say car accidents happen all the time, and a plane is a very safe way to go, but if I get in a car accident and fall out of the car no big deal, but falling out of the sky is something sooo different.

It's nothing to be scared about. What is actually worse is the lines you have to go through at the airport. Once you're on a plane, it's a very comfortable experience. And it is definitely the safest form of travel.

I was before i got on one. I've only been on there twice but iw as still freaked out abou it. Take a cd player and just listen to some music to calm u down. Or bring a puzzle book, something to occupy your mind so u won't think the worst. I hope u have fun!

I am not afraid of flying. Just sit in an isle seat,
chew some gum and read a book upon take off and you will be fine.

Yes, I am very afraid to fly on a plane because I am afraid I would get killed in a plane crash.
