Sure, why not. What doesn't kill you make you stronger, or at least give you a heartburn, and harder time going to the out house. Unless the leather is treated, and you can chew through it, you will be fine. Try to empty the wallet, with a dash of Salsa everything will taste good. That is how I survive my mothers' cooking. Bless her, she tries. :)

Yes you can, But all the chemicals that is used to produce those products can play havoc with your body. What were you talking about or doing that would caused you to ask such a question. For there are safer things that you can eat under the most direr conditions........... You should visit your local library and read a few survival manuals I am sure that some of them will be very helpful..........................

If you can digest beef and pork products in generally you should be able to digest leather. After all, it's only beef skin. The things that you have to be careful of are the dyes, tanning solutions, and chemical preservatives that they place on the hide itself to get it into a belt form.
My suggestion, If you're wanting to eat your belt. Boil it in water until the dyes start lifting off the hide. Dump out the water frequently and start the boiling process again. What you're needing to do is to boil out all the poisons. You can actually do the same thing with Pine needles and pine cones to make them eatable - the sour sap and talon in the pine makes it poisonous to humans unless it's boiled out. With pine, once the water starts becoming clear after repeated boilings, then the pine inside becomes safe to eat. The same process would have to be done for your belt.
Also, taking a metal scrub brush to it while wearing a pair of gloves after it's been boiling for a while and after it becomes softer, will help to rid the hide of those man-made chemicals that could be harmful if eaten. Then continue the boilings until you're sure it's free of toxins.

Sure - it's called beef jerky.
But seriously, I've heard of people eating worse. If you could chew it into small enough pieces, I guess it would be edible. I can't say anything of the possible dangers of eating too much, though.

Yes you can. its just the tanned and dyed skin of an animal. not very nutritious but Will fill the hollow spot in an emergency. not recommend for long term use because of the chemicals used.

Before you asked this question, you should research the tanning process of animal hide into leather. I don't think you'd have asked this question if you had.
