That is discrimination under the disability discrimination act - which is supposed to be policed by the DRC, also unlawful under the Human Rights Act, The European convention on Human rights that the Act ratified and the United Nations covenant on Human Rights. Perhaps, when we get a Human rights Commission they will support people with disabilities whether their disability is psychological or physical. Whether it is someone like you who wants to see his children or a woman with breast cancer who wants the latest drug and the right to life. Support is about supporting people being discriminated against - not support in helping people "off benefits and back to work. the new Welfare reform bill is 84 pages long and mentions the word "work" 137 times. Someone once said, over 2000 years ago, always look at the politicians motives not his deeds. The motive of this government and every government since Thatcherism has been to save money - then they waste money.

I am sorry I think I have not been able to understand your question properly, but I think you shoud be allowed or permitted to visit your kids without any prejudice or favourism.
I don't like the word: Government. It's a set of bastards who make rules as they wish and according to their needs and when their ends are achieved they change the rules and form other new ones. Government of any nation is a toy in the hands of rich people.
You have been deprived of meeting your own kids just because the bloody government is eating MONEY from your opponent.
FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS!!!

You should take this to a higher court and fight for you're right as a father as long as there has been no violence and you have been proven as a good father in the past then you should have been able to get access to you're young children, the children are young and hopefully you can get this resolved. Good Luck

I think that on a personal level that if a social worker decided that i was not allowed to see my kid i would take thier job by going through a higher court. i would do everything that i had to to get that person fired unless they had a just cause and even then i would attempt to get them fired. it is not right to keep a parent from their child. i, to, am going through a divource and my exwife is trying to make that happen. a social worker showed up to my door and i had to go through an interview to see if i was to be a better parent than my wife. the lady was so sexist it wasn't even funny. i will have to fight and i hope you do to.

unfortunately social workers only go off miss guided facts they are,NT interested in whether or not you are a good parent, mental illness will allways be a taboo issue and its about time that people were better educated on the subject,if I were you i would take it to a high court and in the mean time build yourself a good case.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I agree sticking people in little boxes so we all conform to this or that idea of what we should be is totally abhorrent; it denies the wide variety of individuality that exists within any of their stupid "categories"
