Could be poorly made connections when the new battery was installed or your alternator is going bad.

Sounds like a diode trio in the altenator. Take a volt meter and put it on DC volts and put probes on the correct battery terminals red to postive black negative with the car running you should have no less than 14.00 volts. If the alt. is bad you will problay have 12.00 or less depending on what the battery has left in it.

Poor wiring or fuses (maybe). More than likely wiring. However if your new battery goes dead fast, then you have a bigger problem on your hands than wiring. You might also want to check the cables connecting the battery. They might need to be sanded down and cleaned of battery acid. Sometimes that causes a poor connection.

You may have a slack battery terminal or a faulty ground contact - it is possible also that the alternator is faulty and that is what caused you to replace the battery in the first place.

Hope that helps.
