There is some possibility that the earthquake in Hawaii was triggered by North Korea's nuclear test. I thought about that immediately. The timing is about right as it would take a few days for the results to occur. We could see more quakes in the north American continent.

About as much correlation as a butterfly flapping it's wings in the Amazon jungle will have causing the next hurricane.

The NK blast was rated at less than 10 kilotons. Back when the US and Russia were making really big noises they were setting off 100+ Megaton explosions. Many of these were way underground and the force would have been absorbed by the land mass. There were no unsual earthquakes that followed those explosions.

So yes it is possible-- Just not very likely.

No, the explosion was not significant, it was equal to that which was at Hiroshima. Probably more to do with the USA testing 'sonic' bombs off the coast of Japan.
