Yes, shouldn't Bush's message be convincing enough on its own, without everyone yelling at everyone else to support him?

We should respect our president, but that does not mean that we should blindly accept every decision as good, even if the 'majority' chose him as our representative to the world.

We should all support the office. It doesn't mean that we have to support the policies, or even the man. Most people do not think in absolutes though. For most people it is a diverse mix, while they support some policies, they don't support others. I think Mr. Bush is doing well on Security. How do I judge this? By the fact that there have not been any new attacks on American soil. I think he has a dismal record on domestic policy. Why? Because there are issues which I voted for which are not being addressed strongly enough, such as Social Security Reform. The problem is that many people these days cannot separate the man from the office and because they don't like the man they are willing to destroy the office in eyes of the world. There is a gulf of difference between voicing discontent and outright slander. Much of what is said regarding the president these days falls into the slander category. Even if I hated Mr. Bush with a passion, which I don't, I would never join the rudeness because this is more unpalatable to me than anything Mr. Bush is doing.

Because he's worth standing up for. Not every problem we have is Bush's fault. Congress shares at least half the blame. There's no health care reform or social security or wall to keep illegals out unless Congress does something about it first. Only after they pass bills to help Americans, can the President pass it and finalize it.

Also, we haven't had another attack on American soil since he went into Iraq. The terrorists are busy in another part of the world and can't focus on the US right now. Our troops are doing their job and know why they're there. Bush standing his ground should be praised. It's better than the cut and run which so many others would do.

He does what he thinks is right. He doesn't do something just because it's popular. Sometimes, the President and his advisers do know more than the American public. The fact that everyone blames him and is totally unaware of how our federal system works is proof of this. At least he doesn't run scared or let his wife tell him what to do.

No, Bush isn't the best President. He's not even close to being the worst. I respect him and the job he does. I doubt anyone that criticizes him could do better and our choices coming up don't give one alot of hope.

Because for many people, the decision to support Bush was primarily an emotional decision about the values of anti-abortion and anti-gay marriage, above every other factor. Plus, we know that Bush prays.

So any other "reports" from the liberal media don't change the fact that Bush loves God and babies; and hates gay sex, but we know he still loves the sinner. So at this point, to stop supporting Bush now would be equivalent to divorcing your spouse WHILE changing religion and moving to Pakistan. Good luck with that.

I'm an American and Bush is the president and to a certain extent I will support him. But that doesn't translate into supporting policies that are harming this nation. Anyone who supports a president no matter what they do, at the expense of the country, cannot possibly be called a patriot.

Because this country was being run by "SLICK WILLY" for 8 years and he allowed this country to slip into what it is today. Now we have a man that has to deal with the problems from his time and the country doesnt want to admit it that their beloved WILLY actually messed up.

People think Bush is worth standing up for because they don't know about THESE secret and evil plans that are next on the agenda for ordinary U.S. citizens!...
