.Ask your doctor to push them into doing it a bit quicker if she needs one now its pointless making her wait i take it April is a new finance year with social security What about asking a local councillor for help they can be very pushy they know the right people to approach.Good luck

Does she have an occupational therapist, care worker or nurse who can speed things up? I know these things take time,but my mother's occ' therapist was brilliant in cutting through the red tape a little faster. Get her doctor on the case,anyone who you can think of. Good luck

you should see the social services not the social security. they have the funding to adapt your mums house so thats it is suitable for her everyday means. ie stair lift if need be and the walk in shower. there is a social services connected to the hospital, they also arrange home help if they feel she needs it. good luck with everything xx

if she has an occupational therapist and a social worker along with ongoing medical needs they should between them be able to arrange this if she doesn't have a social worker try to get her one they can adapt her whole home to suit her special needs hope this helps

MEDICARE SHOULD HAVE A PROGRAM WHERE A 24 HR NURSE WOULD HELP OUT WITH YOUR MOM ..FIRST TIME PAY $200.00 THEN THEY REIMBURSE YOU THEN THERS NO CHARGE AFTER THAT!!
