How do you NOT pee on the tampon string ?
Sorry but my mother is insane and I have no sister to ask ?

I think that's almost impossible to accomplish. You can try pulling/tucking the string backwards towards your butt crack and when you pee, tilt your pelvis down so that you're peeing straight down but a little pee is going to hit it.
Just one of those yucky facts of having a period. If you're asking because you think the urine left on the string is making you a bit stinky, you could try carrying around a little foam wash bottle of Vagisil and after wiping, wipe with that to freshen up.

take the tampon out before you pee honey you dont want to walk around with soggy playtex between your legs. after an hour its gonna rank =)
ive tried to pull the string back but the cotten gets soaked, whats the secret?

I think the idea is to change it everytime you use the bathroom. They are supposed to be changed like every 4 hrs which is about as often as we pee anyways, otherwise I guess you just pee on it. Periods are a discusting time, this just adds to it, lol

holy crap i had no idea this was an issue, 25 years and ive been so ignorant yet after reading these answers its like a major problem facing 50% of people on this planet!

Ah same here girl! I've never really figured it out myself. Hold it back somehow? idk. But thats a really good question. Your not the only one that has no one to talk to this about..I use my best friend. Her mom is like my second mom. Thats what i call her. So if you have a best friend turn to her for help too. :) hope i somewhat helped!
