I Was on birth control for 3 months but then i stoped to see if it would bring back my period. I took two pregancy test to make sure and they both came back neg. I do have sex but i use a condom every time , even when i was on birth control. Whats going on ????

The only thing you can do is get it checked out...that way you'll know what's going on and you won't have to worry about it. Plus it would be good to make sure nothing serious is going on.

If you had a Depo Provera shot it can take up to 9 - 12 months, from the date of your shot, to get your period back. The shot is only guaranteed for 3 months of useful birth control, so definitely use another method until your periods return. I don't think you can get another shot or go on the pill until they start again.

if u were on the shot this is normal but pills 5 months is a long time i'd go see a Dr. to make sure though but if its the shot dont worry it's almost been a year since i've had mine and i no im not pregnant and i quit the birth controll the shot last November 05

Well, I haven't had mine in over 2 years. Mine was because of increased excerise and weight loss. I went to the doctor and they put me on some estorgen pills (I wasn't on the pill). There could be a number of reasons for this though. First thing they checked on me was my thyroid, which happened to be fine, but ya never know. It is not something to let go unchecked - ask your doctor.

you could be underweight, or overexercising, which can cause amenorhea. Or you could have another condition that is causing your body to skip periods. Stress can do this too, but 5 months is extreme. please see your Gynecologist
