I love to read and it's great to read books that put you in the mood for a Holiday. In this case, I'd like to find a good book that's scary and would really get me in the Halloween *Spirit*. hehe

The Everything Paganism Book. It will tell you about the history of Halloween as well as about how Pagans celebrate the holiday. It's kinda cool. I'm reading it now.

I like Everything Eventual by Stephen King. It is a collection of scary stories, and is my fav book by him. There are alot blood and gore stories as well as the too true to really happen, but you still believe could, stories. His other book like that, Nightmares and Dreamscapes is good too.

The scariest thing I've ever read was a story by H.P. Lovecraft. The man's a diabolical genius. I forget what the story was called, but it was about an astronaut on Venus.

"Tailypo" by utilising Joanna Galdone. lovable yet creepy tale of a guy who cuts off a mysterious creature's tail and eats it, then turns into prey to that creature. "Bunnicula" by utilising James Howe. not frightening, yet has a physically powerful halloweenish ecosystem, a pair of dogs and cat whose vendors undertake a vegetable-sucking vampire bunny. So lovable! "seize Your Breath: A e book of Shivery Poems" compiled by utilising Lilian Moore. Spooky poems with spooky illustrations, proper for little toddlers. "frightening thoughts to tell interior the ineffective of night" by utilising Alvin Schwartz. A classic!

"Something Wicked This Way Comes" by Ray Bradbury. It's fabulous young adult novel by the man who wrote "Fahrenheit 451" about a twisted, creepy and mysterious carnival that rolls into town.

The Red Dragon by Thomas Harris. It's the prequel to Silence of the Lambs. The move was NOTHING compared to the book.
