Nothing particular, I love the scent of rain. Especially when you are in an area where the rain hits sand or dirt. I love that smell.

The scent of freshly fallen rain is already the perfect scent so I would not change the scent of rain.

Clean & fresh.
It has been my experience that rain smells like what it's raining on.
When it rains in a dump/ landfill ... well the smells of trash fill the air. Rain in gardens will produce a fresh smell and slightly bring out the smell of flowers. Rain in the city smells like asphalt - Rain on the ocean smells like salty sea air.
My favorite is when it rains in autum while the aspen trees are changing color ...

I love the smell of rain-especially when it hits a hot earth.
But lilac rain might be interesting.
