I don't believe you can get rid of it. You can control it with the use of cortisone cream. You probably need prescription strngth but you could try OTC first.

eczema is not treatable. It is something that you have to deal with. I worked in a dermatologist office for 6 years and what we suggested was light therapy. It is like a bright red light(like a heat lamp) and you sit with the exposed area in the light for 15-20 minutes with a topical ointment on the area. My over the counter answer is Aquaphor it is made by eucerin you can get it at any pharmacy or wal-mart. It is in the lotion isle or you can use Aveno Calming balm. I personally ind Aquaphor is the best at curing the Itching and flaking associated with this condition.

Eczema can be tough to treat partially because it's usually caused by allergies or changes in the weather; it's a form of dermatitis. It would also depend on what type of eczema you have.
The use of anything that may dry out the skin should be discontinued and this includes both normal soaps and bubble baths that remove the natural oils from the skin.
If you're looking for itch relief Antihistamine, Naloxone hydrochloride and dibucaine or even antibiotics.
If you're looking for more herbal relief try: evening primrose oil,
tea tree oil, burdock, rooibos, calamine, oatmeal, crocodile oil,
cod liver oil, neem oil, or Aloe Propolis cream.
I'm a licensed esthetician but check out my source to get better acquainted with what type you possibly have.
