None of them really. They always leave out some of the details that make the book so great. After you read a book, then watch the movie you start analyzing the movie by what they left out or what you didn't see, or what they've changed. Movies are for the people who don't have time to read the books.

This is a great question, you get to hear opinions on lots of great books.

If they would actually follow the book and not change or leave out important details, then I would choose Florida Roadkill and its sequal Hammerhead Ranch Motel by Tim Dorsey. It's not well known but it is a very humorous crime thriller with great characters.

I would have to say the entire Darak series by CHristine Feehan. It's about a race (capathians) who are true immortals who if they succumb to the thrill of killing their victims become vampire's . THese are some of the best supernatural romance novels ever written. I can't wait to read Dark Celebration when my friend brings it to me lol.
