If my baby (5months) is coughing/shocking all of a sudden. How do u deal with it?

Call your doctor........
And see if it's a BARKING cough.....it could mean CROUP...
but if it's congested or dry cough it could be part of a cold.....
or if he's wheezing......it could be asthma......

for now keep your baby upright so it's easier for them to breathe........and try some Vick's.......put a layer of Vaseline then the Vick's.......unless you have Baby Vick's vapo rub......

also bathe them in the Johnson's Vapo Bath......and I believe there is cream for that too......

use a humidifier as well to moisten the air.......like Vick's Vaporizer

girlllllllll stop waiting for some one on-line to give you an answerer shocking is a big red flag to call a Doctor now. because your baby is only 5 months old baby's that little need to see the doctor for almost every thing i no its a pain my baby is 10 months old but i was lucky he never got sick till now and i waited too long to take him to the doc cause he only had a runny nose and that turned in to a saver ear infection and a swollen gland see with only a runny noise he never even coughed touched his ear or had a fever so please take your baby first think in the morring most doc have walk-in apt. if you get there first thing in the morring

Don't try to medicate the child yourself. There isn't anything over-the-counter for babies that young. You need to take the baby in to the doctor. It could be serious. Also, it may affect the babies ability to breathe correctly at night.
