from what I read in a magazine article from Traci Ellis, apparently Jill didn't agree with the contract for this season being on the new CW network...she wanted more money, but they couldn't give it to her, so she passed... it sucks b/c girlfriends is not the same w/o her kniving self...lol Toni will be missed

She quit. She didn't want to do the show anymore. She didn't even stay for one final goodbye episode. What you saw at the end of last season is the last you will see of "Toni Childs". I've seen her in some commercials.

From what the papers are saying, she wanted more money than the others. I am not sure what is going on with her, but she is off of the show for good.

For an undisclosed reason, she didn't renew her contract. Maybe she's looking for bigger and better things... who knows...
