Political BS.

2006-10-16 06:13:45 · answer #1 · answered by Chris J 6 · 2 3

Let me help the unenlightened Pro-life political hacks changed the laws opening up this two for one murder charge. So far it hasn't gone to the supreme court even if it did could a favorable judgment be called just with at least 4 justices on the court who are a bit fanatical on this subject. As the laws were any abortion after 3 months needed medical justification to be legal. So if someone killed a pregnant woman more than 3 months along already could be prosecuted for a double murder. the new laws which are not in every state are just political posturing and of no practical value.

It is a good question. It has to do what the DA decides is a viable baby. Homicide is stopping someones heart from beating against their will.
In 50 states, no one can agree some stop abortion as early as 12 weeks, in 5 states they are stopped in 3rd trimester, & in 8 states it is 24 weeks.
My daughter has beautiful twins & as part of the Mother of Twins club she has made friends with mothers who have twins born from 19-26 weeks. I have held them & played with them - no reason to doubt the 5 Moms that I talked with. Doctors who specialize in twin delivery including my daughters have agreed that 20 weeks if what they believe the baby can be saved or is viable. We have 13 states that will you an abortion of them.

Nothing seems simple in this disagreement. I come from the old school, where we knew who slept around & who was marriage material. Times have changed, sadly, we do not believe we can control ourselves. Control was used by vast majority for generations, so it must be possible.

Good Question,

So the baby is a fetus at 2 months and 29 days and the next day, bingo! It's a baby? What if they get the conception date wrong? What exactly changes on that day making the difference?

Abortion is legal in the US up through the 9th. month. Fact.

Over half of the dead babies are women, so much for women's rights?

Abortion is Murder.

Peace!

Because even I, a lib, pro-choice supporter consider it murder after the 1st trimester.

I don't recall ever hearing about anyone charged with double homicide when the woman was only like 2 weeks pregnant, but I could be wrong. I've only ever heard of the double murder thing being done when the woman was due like within a month.

Well, in most states, abortion is not allowed after the first trimester...and that is about when- in most states- you can be charged with the murder of the unborn child(after the first trimester)..in some states you cannot be charged with murder unless the fetus would have been viable outside the womb, which is about 25 weeks at the earliest (though I do know of some babies surviving as early as 22weeks--not without serious complications, though)
P.S. I like the answer above me!!! Though editorial--very enlightened!!!!

Slutty women made their choice when they spread their legs and had unprotected sex. After that it is the babies choice if it developes it chose to live. And anyone who terminates the living helpless baby is a murderer.Taking of anothers innocent life is wrong. They WILL be punished eventually. Adoption is an option they are too self absorbed to even consider.

That depends on the stage of development of the baby. Just as abortion is illegal after a certain point in development, the murder of a pregnant woman would be considered double homicide only after that same point.

The standard is actually the same in both cases.

I believe they should change that law because is not really a human. Besides, the woman didn't choose to be killed by a psycho so why are you talking about? The women in these cases didn't choose to be killed so there was no choice.

Because she made the choice to grow it into a baby. You did know that Bush passed that legislation, right? It was in response to Lacy Perterson being killed along with her term fetus, by her husband. If a woman killed her term fetus, she would also be arrested for murder. Hope that clarifies, but I'm guessing you didn't want an answer.

Abortion is a personal choice exclusive to pregnant women/couples. No-one else has the right to that choice. A killer of pregnant women kills 2 - at least.
