Of Course The Tigers are going to win The World Series!
I laugh at Met fans who think they will win the world series.
They clearly haven't faced
Nate Robertson
Kenny Rodgers
Justin Verlander

or

I've been saying it since The Tigs knocked off the NYY, we are in the midst of an 11 game winning streak.
As for a previous poster commenting on how the Tigers should have celebrated less - they doesn't understand what many of these players have gone through.
I believe it is 10 of the players on the current 40 man roster (Inge, Monroe, Moroth, Infante, Santiago, and a few others that I can't think of) were on the 119 loss team in 2003. The Tigers were projected at the beginning of the season to possibly be a .500 team but were in 1st place in the division until the 162nd game of the season. The fact that they had such a lull during the last 49 games (19-30) and then lost game 1 against the Yanks, no one gave them a chance.
But they have proven, again, that with the heart and leadership of Jim Leyland, the veteran leadership of Rogers, Polanco, Pudge and Ordonez, and the youthful exuberance of Granderson, Verlander and Zumaya that this team will not fail.

I'm with you Missy. I was living in Detroit in 68 when they won the first one in my lifetime. In 84 they ruled the league from beginning to end. This year they faltered but seem to have regained form for the playoffs.

I agree that they are on a roll. Unfortunately I think they overdid the celebrating for just the League Championship. They should have saved most of it for after the World Series.

they may only win because of pitching, bullpen will be well rested as well as having a well set and rested staring rotation
