The word "blog" is a shortened version of the phrase "web log". Essentially it's an online diary or journal, but unlike a paper diary you can attach video, sound etc. It doesn't really do anything in particular, other than provide a space for the owner to write about their day, their thoughts etc. and gives other people a chance to read and comment if the owner would like.
There are a number of blog sites online, such as livejournal, blogger etc. which simply provide a space for people to register an account and start posting journal entries.

It's a web log, a little like a Ship's captains log. but you are supposed to record your events as you pass through life. You can in practice write anything you want to. Soulcast is good. have a look at my website and find the advertisement for "make money from Blogging with Soulcast" and click that and it will help you sign up for Soulcast and adsense. adsense advertisements appear near you blog and you get paid for every click. Someone on Soulcast went over the $100 minimum pay out last week. You can also blog on blogspot also known as blogger. There is a new beta Blogger - with adsense - don't sign for that if you're new to Blogging. I'm not and it confuses me! My Blogs look good though! lol Soulcast is good because people subscribe and you know who is reading your stuff and adsense is on both. Adsense if set up right gives you some idea of your readership too. For budding writers it's good and for people who want $100 at Christmas! You can also make money from adsense with adsense on websites and even Googlepages. If you see an interesting advert on my site besides Soulcast - click it - I need to put some money in the account to buy advertising for a new site in the future!

a blog is a easy to create/use website or journal or online diary...werr u can put personal things or u can set up a busness website...
it consists of posts ...each time u post a new topic the older topics go off da page but still remain as " permanent links" in da archives

properly i'm in touch in a cyber web pagan community and that i detect fairly some the blogs exciting yet i truthfully do no longer shop up with them frequently. I do pay attention to three pagan Podcasts on my ipod that I shop up with and punctiliously relish.

Online diary and you can either use a free one like blogspot as already mentioned or have the upmarket type that sit on your own website.
I use blogspot and find it very good!
