I think she "could" play the role but it would be suited to someone else. When Julie Andrews played her it wasn't a stretch to picture her in such a "clean" and "proper" role. Madonna would be a stretch (not that I have a problem with her dirtiness :) Someone younger too. Scarelett Johansen? Can she even sing?

I suppose she could.........would it be a good fit for the part? NO!! She is anything but the Mary Poppins type. In fact, a better Disney role for her would be Ursula, the sea-witch, if they did a live action Little Mermaid.
