Persians, and Kurds! Although at one point in History, the Caliphate of Bagdad included dominion over the Arabian Pennisula. Politcal boundries are almost always artificial. They represent broad cultural and ethnic groupings, but are never very "pure" or "singular". In other words, ultimately, we're all mutts.

Hello dear!
Most Judaic religions (including Christianity and Islam) were implied to the people; people did not follow them, but the rulers would execute whoever was opposing being the religion ordered by them!
Thus, the rulers of the Arab countries pushed Islam, while in Europe Christianity was forced. Let us not forget America! When the invaders with their "free spirits" got in America were killing the natives because the king and the pope were not counting the natives as humans since they were not Christians!
Similarly in Iran! The people are mixed, mostly Persian, but also Arabs, Greeks, etc., ... Then, Islam rulers, regardless of racial background, were converting all to Islam, like it happened in America and Europe!

They are Persians, speak Farsi, and are only superficially middle-eastern. They are no more Arab than Israelis are, however.
