Its about taking personal responsibility for ones actions. While it can argued that men should be equally responsible, and they often are, the fact remains that the woman herself is responsible for herself.
The guys responsibility for an unwanted pregnancy is either to pay for he abortion or the child support (and sometimes neither). Women have to understand the consequences of their actions and take measures to avoid getting pregnant in the first place.
My basic thought on the matter is that the same argument pro-choice groups use, "its my body", can work both ways. I recognize that since it is my body I have to take any reasonable precautions necessary to avoid getting pregnant, I cannot rely on my partner.
On the other hand, if the men out there feel that women are indeed responsible (and I agree with them) then men should also agree that they are irrelevant to the abortion debate.
A man can counsel their wife, daughter, or friend not to have an abortion. But at the end of the day it is the woman's body.

Because you flunked biology I'll explain something for you. Women do not get pregnant on their own. Dipsticks like you have to be there too. It's as much the dipsticks failure to keep it's zipper closed and the moisture seeking monster in check as it is a problem with women keeping their legs closed.
It's a shame society requires a test for operating a car yet requires no test for operating a penis.

Provocative messages create provocative actions. Both genders are equally responsible. It isn't about men keeping it in thier pants or women being sleazy it's about personal responsibility. If you can't say no then use protection. If you don't want to use protection just say no.
Take personal responsibility for your actions and there will be no problem. Act irresponsibly and you will pay for the results.

It takes two.
Personally, though, I blame abject ignorance, to some extent. I mentioned something about ovulation to a class of college freshmen one time, and less than half of the females knew what that was. And, of course, virtually none of the males.
Ignorance is not a form of birth control, no matter what the conservatives say.

Men and women share equal responsibility.
Men could use protection too, or keep it in their pants to make certain that they don't impregnate any women or get an STD.
Women can insist that their partners use protection, or they could get on the pill. Or they could just say "No" which is the only way you can be certain not to get pregnant or an STD.

Why aren't men responsible for keeping it in their pants?Since when did we live in the 1200's?...why do we continue to perpetuate the roles of women as the whores and men as "studs" sowing their oats. Maybe if the sex-education standards were higher, as well as the standards of our so-called right- winged "moral-majority", we would have a more enlighted culture, as opposed to your rendition of the dark ages.
