Yep. In my county you can go to the Country Clerks office up to 3 weeks in advance and vote absentee. Takes less than 5 minutes as opposed to over an hour when I got o my polling place. (And I really am usually gone for the elections to boot)

No, I am going to the polling place, and taking my 5 year old daughter with me, just like my Mom did when I was young, so my daughter can watch me vote and take an active part in our government.

They also give both of us an "I voted" sticker, which she just loves, and we both wear them with pride.
