I never expected my life to be the way it is. I like my life. I think I have it pretty good. I am very happy that I am not the person I thought I wanted to be when I was younger.

Mess or as expected?,
I don't think that either are totally on. I don't think that I have ever really had any expectations for "my life".
When I play a board game like monopoly, I expect that the outcomes are either win or lose. If I engage in a more social activity, like visiting with people, I expect that I will either enjoy myself and perhaps learn somethings or I will be totally disengaged and not take much from the conversation.
Expected, no definitely not! Total mess, well i really can't judge that either as I don't know what the finished work is supposed to look like, or how this one will compare!

It turned out the way I expected it to be heading towards, but it turned out to be the wrong direction, seemingly, and so it's like a mess now. but hey, life is unpredictable, so a messy state should be normal.

my life is a total mess, first of all i married a second time had another child,and the man turned out to be a slob, lazy,verbal abusive,cheap non-family oreinted mess, i dont love him he has made me hate him,and im so stuck ive been in this relationship for 12 years and im sufficating, my whole life is truly a mess as well as a living hell

It is finally turning out like I wanted it to. I am finally with the man of my dreams, I am treated with lots of love and respect, am living a life where I don't have to work but can if I want to, etc. I have never been happier, and will be even happier when we get married next year!

It’s not turning out as good as I hoped it would. But it’s not a total mess either. I guess I have a work in progress. But time is growing short for significant changes.

It's turning out pretty good. If it turned out exactly like you expected I think that would be a drag. Too predictable.

My life is one big mess! It's like the aftermath of Katrina I am waiting for someone to come rescue me and it seems like it will never happen
