Wow. Did you notice that when you turned the question around it all of a sudden became "50-50" and "it's both"? Every time a question about abortion is posed, it is the women who are the whores, there is not "50-50" argument. Only when put on the men does that argument come up. Interesting...

Umm - doesn't it take two to make a baby. The men are only as responsible as the woman involved. Accidents may happen, but unless its a pregnancy as a result from a violent crime - they are both to blame. And, if they don't want the child they could always put it up for adoption, there are lots of childless families who would love a baby....

As women we have the choice not to have unportected sex, we have so many options to protect ourselves from unwanted pregnancies.
Besides, women are more logical thinkers than men, so we should have more control over our own bodies in times where men would lose control and not think and realize the reprocussions of our actions.

We all need to take care. But I agree with the notion that allocating most of the blame to men (as people on the left and right often like to do) is asinine and insulting. Not just to men but also to women because it assumes women are helpless child-like creatures who just give in to men's beastly desire to make them pregnant. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most men I know are not desperately seeking to make anybody pregnant, putting it mildly. Quite the contrary in fact.

It takes two to tango, but a lot of men get out of any responsibilities it seems. The girl is always the one stuck taking care of and raising the baby. It's not fair!!!!

EVERY WOMEN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HER BODY AND THE CHOICES SHE MAKES IN LIFE. HOW IS IT THAT A MAN BECOMES RESPONSIBLE FOR A WOMEN'S CHOICES. AS IS EVERY MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OWN CHOICES. TOO MANY WOMEN THINK THAT THEY WILL HOLD A MAN DOWN BECAUSE SHE IS HAVING A BABY. THIS USE TO WORK IN THE 40'S AND 50'S BUT WITH THE FEMINIST MOVEMENT CAME MALE INDEPENDENCE. WE NO LONGER HAVE TO HOLD THE DOOR OPEN. GET IT YOUR SELF. MAKE YOUR OWN MONEY. AND IF YOU WANT TO LIVE WITH ME YOU BETTER HAVE YOUR HALF OF THE RENT OR I'LL FIND ME A WOMEN THAT DOES. SO IS LIFE IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM.

I have found, often, that it is the father who pushes for an abortion. "He said it was keep the baby or keep the relationship." "You can't screw up my life like this." "I don't want a kid. I ain't having nothing to do with it if you keep it." (actual quotes)
I have found that the ethics of the father's reaction is largely ignored in the abortion debate. Of course, not all abortion situations are like this. However, the ones that are don't seem to evoke any discussion of how men often have a much easier time condemning their child to death.
I have just found that interesting.

They should not go poking w/o taking precautions. It's not a toy, I don't care how much they play with it, but they should know how to play with it and when to put on protection . A woman should also share in the responsibility to safeguard against pregnancy.
