how do i get rid of programs in my quick launch taskbar?

how can i remove these programs as i dont always want them when i start my comp ... thanks in advance

You Didin't Specified which OS using. And the question is not right. I think you are Asking about The Tray ICONS. (Left to DATE/TIME) IF windows XP type msconfig in the RUN window and will get a Settings Window. You can Disable the Progams that Starts when you Boot Your Computer. Its RISKY If you don't Have knowledge abt them. So you can Just Right click on Taskbar then Properties ->then click on Customize. Now you can set which you want to see and hide. it only Hides them.

Right click directly in the launch taskbar in the short cut you want to "kill", then select "Delete".

It will only delete the short cut from the taskbar but the program will still in your PC.
