Do you like the Flash and Moving images, large colorfull graphics, sound and guided tours that seem to be the craze? Is it helpful or not? Are there any of these sites you really hate, or really love?

It depends somewhat on the nature of the site and why I'm visiting. On a promotional site for a band or a movie, sound, Flash, elaborate graphic layout, etc. are fine, provided they're actually entertaining. I do appreciate a prominently located volume control and an option to skip the Flash intro, though.

If I'm shopping or looking for information, I much prefer an uncluttered design with easy navigation. Google does a great job in this regard.

It depends on various factors. Who is your target audience? If your site is catered to younger generations (for example: 16-25yrs), flash movies or streaming videos are more suitable because that age group don't like to read. But keep in mind, too much flash on your site could hurt you in search engine rankings since search engine robots/spiders have difficult time crawling flash files. Is it important to be found on search engines or would you rather have a nice interactive site?

Flash is only useful for certain interactive elements (like guided tours, tutorials, etc). Otherwise it is a real hassle and only adds to the annoyances on the web.

I prefer the plain site, easy to navigate and ready. I wouldn't plan on revisting flashy sites that aren't useful

I will excuse everything but the website that hijacks my speakers with their annoying music. Web sites should be seen, not heard.
