I have enough trouble trying to spend £1 at my local High Street. Retailers whinge about falling sales then want you to queue for 5 minutes to pay for something from the self service. The last time I spent £1,000 the transaction took about 20 minutes. I'd buy a bigger house but that takes months to complete.

The point is, how would you spend ANY money in a minute, unless you're already set up for it? even online, i'd have trouble completing a purchase in a minute. so if you had to spend the money, and couldn't keep any change, you'd have a dilemma on your hands.

interesting question, then. maybe i could "buy" some worthless item from the closest friend i could find in the time, then offer to sell it back to them for half the money, hoping they'd agree out of the goodness of human nature.

I would buy a diversified portfolio of stocks, bonds and mutual funds, plus segregated funds. I want my £1 million to grow to more than £1 million at some point in time.
