sounds like you will need to tune a spare channel on your tv into the playstation. turn the ps on and try tuning the tv until the ps game appears. new playstations connect via scart and automatically appear on the av channel

there is sometimes a black switch u get with the PS1 (i've not used it since my upgrade to the PS2 in the late 90s), but if that shud work, but failing that, just go through all ur channels (video channel mibbe, or even tune it in)
OR. stick the wire from teh playstation into the video, and then use the video channel to play ur playstation.

it(play station)had a audio out/input cable you have to connect that cables to the sockets on the set (visual device) you have old ones or black/white sets you have to get aditional equipment to connect through rf socket like vcd/dvd connect to sets same as it is when you connecting through Rf not press av button

Turn on the PS1 and turn the TV to either channel 3 or 4. It should be coming in on one of those two channels.

check the little RF adaptor square box, it might have a little switch on it... its on the lead......
