11 days ago i had unprotected sex, i was 2-3 days before ovulation (it really is a long story) im a pretty intuitive person and i feel pregnant. my breasts hurt and my nipples are a little darkish. i took a hpt this morning which read negative- yet even after the result i still feel pregnant. i just recently have gotten headaches- which is odd because i never get headaches. do you think the hpt was taken too soon? i have already thought of the possibility im making myself have symptoms at the thought of it but i have thought i was pregnant before and no matter how much i thought of it- i didnt get the symptoms. the only times i really felt pregnant was when i was- i miscarried but now i feel that way again. im touching my stomach more, eating a little healthier and trying very very hard to kick smoking to the curb for good. any advice?

You might be pregnant. I would try taking the pregnancy test again a couple of days later if you don't get your period. Your hcg levels might be highter then. Or you could always go to your doctor.

The symptoms you are having (headaches, tender breasts, darker nipples, etc) do sound like pregnancy symptoms. Plus you have been pregnant before so you know what it feels like. Yes you may have tested too early. It takes 6 to 12 days for a fertilized egg to travel to the uterus and attach. Then it takes another day or two for the egg to release hcg (pregnancy hormone) thus the pregnancy test will detect this in your urine. Wait about three more days or until your period is due and then test again. Make sure to test in the morning (hcg levels rise) and try First Response. Good luck.

Yes, it could be to soon because you should try the first try at 2 weeks after and IF your HCG level is high enough then it will show for you. Wait a couple of more days then try again. Then you should go get the blood done at the doctors to make sure either way! BEST WISHES

Even though it has only been 11 days, you can ask your DR to do a blood test. The hpt was done too soon, it takes time for the HCG (pregnancy hormone) to get high enough in your system to produce a positive- sometimes 15-16 days. My fertility Dr recommended FIRST RESPONSE for me to take-fewer inaccuracies and you can test a little sooner.

Hmmm, you'll have to wait till your period is late. It sounds like you are though. If you are pregnant, then good luck, hope all works out for you, and quitting smoking is fantastic. I quit when I found out. It is very difficult, but nothing can measure to feeling like you are doing all you can for your un born baby, so even if you aren't yet, still quitting will only benifit you for when you are really pregnant!

Wait and test after you miss your period then you won't have to worry if its too early to tell.
