I have a HP running Windows XP. I removed a DVD burning program(not the system program, a not so legal one) and now I can't burn CD's or put my pictures on DVD!! I checked my DVD and CD and the computer tells me they are both working correctly. I don't want to lose all the pictures I have saved because I don't have a lot of them saved anywhere else!

Hello. With all due respect, these people are wrong about System Restore. ANYTHING you have in your MY DOCUMENTS folder will remain unchanged as System Restore DOES NOT change this particular folder. If your pictures are saved in you MY PICTURES folder, which is a sub-folder of My Documents, then YES, you can do a System Restore and your pics will still be there! You can click START and HELP to verify what I am saying. Good Luck :-)

If you Are Confused about the below lines or AS a Caution First Create a System Restore Point with Current Settings. It is also Available in that system Restore Option.
The System Restore Option Never Takes Your Personal Files But System Settings to Older days. So you can Restore it and If you Create a Restore Point of Today You will be Able to Come back to Current System Condtion Again

equipment fix (this technique bundled with homestead windows 2K and above) would not influence your information. It reverts the registry and equipment documents. If extremely you propose a potential of restoring your equipment provided by using the OEM then that's sometimes detrimental.
